Parthene E. (Arndt) Fenicle

Parthene E. (Arndt) Fenicle, 83, of Lebanon, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Spang Crest in Lebanon.  She was born Saturday, June 4, 1932 in Elizabethtown to the late Robert Grove and Mildred Irene (Thomas) Arndt.  She was predeceased by her loving husband Albert L. Fenicle in 2009. 

Parthene was a faithful member of Bindnagle Lutheran Church.  She was a loving homemaker who enjoyed canning and tending to her garden.  Most importantly she was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. 

She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Backenstoes and husband George “Woody”, III of Palmyra; 2 sons, Robert H. Fenicle of Lebanon and Jeffrey L. Fenicle and fiancé Kim Buhrer of Hummelstown; 8 grandchildren, Kymn Shaffer and husband David, Luke and Matthew Backenstoes, Scott Smith and wife Megan, Mark Fenicle and wife Ann, Kyle Fenicle and wife Jennifer, Melissa Dennis and husband Brandon, and Shelby Fenicle; and 10 great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by a daughter, Betty L. Smith; and 4 siblings, Harold Arndt, Jean Royer, Dorothy Halbleib, and Gloria Landis. 

Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 3rd at 10 AM at Bindnagle Lutheran Church, 801 Gravel Hill Rd., Palmyra 17078 with Rev. Dr. Roger Bucy officiating.  Family and friends are invited for viewing from 9 AM until the time of the service.  Burial will follow the service in Grandview Memorial Park, Annville.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 West Pine Street, Palmyra, PA 17078.
