I thank you for all the memories over the years, for the laughs, the smiles and the hugs. Most of all I am going to miss your love of sweets. No matter how full you were from dinner you always had room for desert (and a little of each was your favorite). Although I never got your taste for raspberry ice cream, I can remember countless summers at Annie's in Campbelltown, PA where you always got a large raspberry cone (whether you wanted a large or not, that is what Grandpa got you). All the summers as a kid shelling peas and cleaning green beans in front of the TV, watching your "stories" and of course the wringer-type washer you could not live without in the basement. My favorite was when someone, we were not expecting, came to the door, you taught me to hide behind the chair in the living room so no one would see we were home. I am not sure if you were more scared or if I was at times. Never the less, we survived those surprise guests. I sure do miss those days on the farm. Life seemed so simple back then. You gave me a good start in life and I am the person I am today because of a lot of the things Grandpa and you taught me in my early years.
I am happy Grandpa and you are together again. Sadly you may never have another moments peace with Grandpa fussing at you all the time. I can just hear him now..."MOM....get me a drink of water with ice!" "MOM....bring me some ice cream!" "MOM....pick out my clothes so we can get goin' (to the carnival 3 hours before it started -- you had to get a "good seat"). I can only imagine the sloppy kiss he planted on you when you got to heaven (I bet he even had tobacco spit dribbled down his white t-shirt, just the way he used to years ago). As strange as these memories might seem to some, they were every day life for you and you embraced your life with all you had. You gave more than most and raised for more children than you birthed yourself. You even disciplined your grandchildren with the "persuader", when needed. I could not have asked for a better Grandma and I will miss you dearly.
Until we see each other again,
I Love You,
Kymn

P.S.
Tell Grandpa I love him and that he should behave, you deserve to rest a little while because you definitely earned it!
