Ann Lindsay (Eakins) Simmers

Ann Lindsay (Eakins) Simmers, 57, of Annville, PA and of Stuart, FL passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 3, 2016.  She was born Monday, March 30, 1959 in Philadelphia to the late Richard and Nancy (Unobtain) Eakins.  She is survived by her loving husband of 14 years, Eugene R. Simmers. 

She is also survived by Gene’s daughters, Lisa Simanovich and husband Mike and Lori Beam and husband Ken; and their children, Emily Simanovich and Ella and Max Beam. 

Ann proudly graduated from Palmer Trinity High School in Miami, FL and Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA.  She was retired from real estate and enjoyed spending her winters in Florida.  She was a faithful member of Gravel Hill United Methodist Church.  Ann was an outstanding figure skater almost making the United States Olympic Team.  She loved reading and was a talented artist. 

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 11 AM at Gravel Hill United Methodist Church, 131 Gravel Hill Rd., Palmyra 17078 with Rev. Douglas Smith officiating.  Family and friends are invited for viewing from 10 AM until time of the service.  Burial will follow the funeral service in Gravel Hill Cemetery.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Rothermel-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra 17078.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Gravel Hill United Methodist Church.
