Sending prayers of comfort. My mother (Vivian Keefer) was good friends with Mary; they were in a women's Bible study group together for many years. I recall countless visits to the house as a child/teen and Bob's warmth and humor - always a twinkle in his eye - stands out in my mind. He was a kind man who gave of himself to himself to others. May he rest now in God's arms reunited with Mary and Bob Jr.

Sincere sympathy to Bob's family on his passing. I visited with him both at his home and then at Columbia Cottage. He was perhaps the nicest man I have ever known. My oldest son remembers him fondly as well, both as a high school teacher and driver training instructor. God has a new angel and we have lost a great soul.

Please accept our condolences. Mr. Gingrich was a wonderful to teacher to both me and my husband. I loved seeing him around town as well, even after our graduation.

It was a pleasure to work with Bob at Palmyra High School, and his wonderful sense of humor is what I will remember. My husband Greg and I will miss seeing him walk by our house for his daily walks.

Bob was not only my teacher he became my friend when I became his supervisor. It took me quite a while to stop calling him Mr. Gingrich . I told him I do it out of respect but anyone who was lucky enough to know him as Bob knows how incredible his sense of humor was and when I didn't stop calling him Mr. Gingrich as fast as he wanted he would turn off his hearing aid and make me yell BOB. He will truly be missed by so many. Prayers to all his family for their loss.

I'm so sad to hear of Bob's passing. Bob was a good friend of my mother, Mildred King. We felt so much better when they were together and enjoying each others company. He was always so considerate to the point of over consideration, but we always enjoyed his company (he didn't want to impose on our quality time when I was home from the military). He will be sorely missed.
