So sorry to hear of Dory's passing. Just heard of it today. Dory was a very talented and gifted pianist in high school, and he accompanied me on several occasions at the district and state band contests. He was always in demand for other functions. He told me at one of our recent reunions that he did not play anymore. Got tired of it. What a shame! My condolences to his family and friends.

To Ronnie Spencer--My mother, Mildred, taught you and Dory piano lessons until you became too advanced. Dory was defined by his piano playing; odd he gave it up.

My deepest condolences to Dory's family. I worked with Dory for many years at the USGS and found Dory very intellectual, a little reserved, and always friendly and helpful. He was interested in exploring beyond what his usual job entailed, to help provide insights into other environmental and hydraulic processes. I know his had an interest in boat building, I hope he had the opportunity to build one.
